Re: AC Pump to Air Compressor KZN130 Surf

Cheers for the tip. The only thing I can see is the ac only has one wire which is a positive. I have it hooked to a switch and it works fine right now. I will do your trick with the oiler, however I have removed the stock valve (i assume refrigerant fill port?) on the intake side and left the cap in...

There used to be a place off dominion road who were specialists in LPF. Fuel conversions from memory. If they are still around i would be hitting them up.

Re: AC Pump to Air Compressor KZN130 Surf

Im cool with an extra switc h, as I would prefer to control it from the engine bay. So the big single wire on the top of the pump just add a fuse and a DC switch to it and ill be golden?

AC Pump to Air Compressor KZN130 Surf

Hey Everyone. So ive got the plumbing side of the AC pump to Aic Compressor conversion sorted. I have an air filter to an air tool oiler to the intake side of the pump, and I flared the pressure side and have a hose and fitting on there, and that's fine. how ever, I can not figure the wiring of the ...

Re: Surf overdrive problems

Yes and no. Mine wasn't shifting right, and had no overdrive, I had the ECU repaired, but it didn't fix that issue, however it did make it easier to start, and better on gas, as well as a little more grunt. In the end I had a shift solenoid that was faulty, so I purchased a set from ebay ($120) and ...

It would also pay to pull the codes from the diagnostic port. That's how I figured out it was the shift solenoids in my truck.

Re: Surf overdrive problems

I had no overdrive, and no second. I had the ECU repaired, it didn't fix it, however it ran better, so money well spent. In the end it was the solenoids in the gearbox that were buggered. $120 for the solenoids from the US of A, and a couple of hours and its all good. If your in Auckland and have a ...

Stripped Thread at recovery Point Fix?

Hi All It seems I have a stripped thread on the front of my KZN130 where the stock hooks were. I was snatched out of a bog and after when I was checking stuff I noticed the hook was bent, turns out it wasn't bent, just loose, I tried to tighten it but the bolt just spins. I have pulled it out and th...

KZN130 Auto Troubles

So I have been having an issue with the car from day 1, I knew about it when I bought it and that was one of the reasons it was cheap. The auto doesn't shift correctly. Sometimes if your at the lights and pull off it feels as if its in 3rd, you can manually change it and it drives fine. at 100km/h, ...
