Anyone know of any events coming up?

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone knows of any mud plug style events coming up, preferably close to Chch?
Would like to get a wee bit more fun out of the truck before I decide what to do with it
Thanks

Great to see another Disco out there!

They sure are capable out of the box, and with a lift and those muddies, you'll be surprised where it'll take you!

Looking forward to this one!

I will get some once the weather has cleared and isn't dark! I have someone potentially interested already, they are very rough but a sand back and paint would tidy them up... they are chassis mount to suit a 2" bodylift

Re: What to do what to do

ATs imo would be the best way to go... you can go a very long way on ATs... as for looks, muddies maybe but personally I'd rather the better economy (cause I'm tight haha), quieter drive, better road performance etc. In saying that tho, new mud tyres have come a looonnggg way, might give the older A...

IMO your best bet is to go and test drive some, see what you like and don't like. The autos are a bit slow, but if you're wanting a speed machine, there's better things out there than a VIt ahaha. See what's around, test drive ones for sale and talk with maybe guys from the Suzuki club... put togeth...

Re: "Lando" - C79's V8 Disco Build Thread

Tips for getting the bellhousing bolts out... Remove the engine mounts so the engine drops a couple of inches to give a bit more room. Fully remove the front driveshaft. Bellhousing bolts are 9/16in. 14mm socket may do at a pinch but will be tight. Most bolts are easiest to get at with a universal ...

Bugger! Truck was looking good too. If you've got a hoist & a transmission jack gearbox swaps are easy :D If not I would recommend doing what I did last time I had the box out, bodge up a bit of a cradle that attaches to the trolley jack, bolts on to the gearbox mount at one end, with a scissor...

Why not use a 300tdi? Simple as, no electrnoics and cheap. Compound turbo will have it making decent power, just need to keep the r380 together or do what i am and fit an Isuzu 4bd1t and msa gearbox I did think of a 300... Dad has one. Re: Vitara 1.6 engine Vs 2L engine

I believe the J20A engine is the one everyone wants to get. Has plenty of grunt compared to the 1.6s but doesn't have the head issues that some of the V6s have. I had a first gen. 1.6 and wasn't quick, felt like it needed a bit more. But they hold their value amazingly. I don't know why, but they ar...
