i would call that a sign of to much inlet restriction.

Re: Anyone have a photo of a TD27 injector pump

Anyone have a photo of a TD27t injector pump showing the screw to adjust fuel mixture? (Not Eti) Put new injectors, filters etc in the Mistral but it still puffs white smoke on startup and when I boot it...guy who rebuilt the injectors reckons it may be overfuelling a bit, and to adjust the screw h...

Re: Diesel turbo compressor surge/"bark"

the other thing is to check your pre turbo intake restriction. to much vacuum in front of the turbo when at full noise. not only do you have boost trying to push back through the turbo, you have vacuum trying to suck the air back through as well. so once you lift the pedal and the drive to the turbo...

Re: 2lte or 5l manual injector pump wanted.

i would be inclined to run the 5le pump and tweak the fueling. theres a crude way of adjusting the pump, or chip it.
unless your planning massive fueling it should be fine with the bonus that the timing will be a whole better than what you can do with a mech pump.

not sure with your vehicle but check the pulley isn't slipping.
a lot of crank pulleys are dampeners and fail causing lack of drive to the belts, especially when you load it up with power steering.

looks like thats going to be braked. it would pay to have another suspension rod fitted on the top of the axle to stop the axle turning when under braking. (assuming its beam axle and not independent) chuck in a set of trailer shocks and it will be sweet. He has. Its got a"A" arm top link...

thats exactly what you do not want. you want the wheels to follow the contour but not the body.
most trailers had such little suspension travel that they just pound the crap out of your load.

yer good call, it just sticks in the flow approx. 4/5mm.

i would find a longer one or drill/tap the manifold. it really does need to be in the center of the flow.

no internal work required. first thing is which engine you have. i can't recall exact details but i think black head engine is the weaker one, but still good for 15psi. plenty of info on the patrol forums about ID'ing engine and which is weak/strong. there is limits with how much power you can get o...

Re: Auto-Lockers (Yes / No)

the smallest ARB compressor is about $230 plus freight(v small unit) but basically any 12v compressor will do the job. Even a cheap repco 40 dollar one could be set up to work. The volume of air required to lock the diff is vey low, so even a low quality unit will last ages,as it is far less taxing...

toyota surfs have ADD as well. generally they save a bit of fuel when you fit hubs. also its a requirement if you fit lsd or autolockers. tho i don't know mitsi setup, if its unlocks both sides of the diff or not. toyotas only do one side, so the other side still spins in the diff even tho its not s...

not much point having a fancy turbo if your fueling can't make use of the air.
so it depends a lot on what fueling you have.

wiring a wastegate shut is not a good idea.
over rev a turbo and it will not last long. running the turbo past its efficient range is just a waste of fuel and power. plus the increase exhaust back pressure hurts the engine.

Yeah maybe not with the cat turbo I plan to run. It has similar to antisurge ports on the front cover. Trying to get it to work with what I have that being the garrett off a 4 litre same tractor or the cat off one bank of a smaller v8 marine motor. Both are fairly similar to the scales knockoff I h...
