Sway Bar Disconnects KZN130 SURF

Postby Sheepy » Sun Feb 22, 2015 8:45 pm

Hey All

So after braking 2 rear links I think its time to make some disconnects, rather than taking the bar out (It's out right now and its got a lot of roll) So I found a design I like that is no longer being made, but I have some questions that some of you guys might be able to shed some light upon.

The kit from Rock Stomper http://www.rockstomper.com/catalog/suspen/discon.old shows the design I am after, and I have found the items needed, but I am not sure how beefy I need to make the units.

I figured the pillow ball rod ends can be 10mm ID, and the channel over them would be 2mm steel, attached to a 2mm wall thickness 20mm tube. Would this be strong enough?

Otherwise if anyone has a better idea please post them up. Even better if someone makes an off the shelf it for around $200 i'm all over it (estimated it will cost me about this in materials to do it my way for Front and Rear)
