rubber bushes replacement

spherical bearings any one found a press in replacement for saf rear arms?
more flex an the bushes aren't keepin up.
problems are only a problem if you not willing to learn how to find solutions

Don't think they will work if it is still the standard 4 link with panhard, it relies on the flexibility of the rubber to allow it to flex. Whereas 3 link with panhard would be fine with sphericals.

A quick look through several bearing catalogues suggests that it's unlikely without serious mods.
OEM bush showing as 50x14x60 (ODxIDxW). Sphericals wide enough are in the 100mm+ range.

Timken have a 52x24 at 22W, meaning you'd have to sort out a 22mm pin in place of the 14 and put a 38mm spacer in the bore (to fill the 60mm, and machine a circlip groove or two to keep it captive...

Agree... WD21 shares the same rear suspension system, factory rubber seem to last the longest too. I guess you could try notching the bushes like the Land Rover guys do to their radius arms...

Generally they seem to last forever but if you put in longer shocks to max out the 16-ish inches of wheel travel, they don't seem to last quite as long.

You probably knew all of this!!

Spherical bearings don't handle impact loads particularly well in terms of wear = higher maintenance.and the need to keep them greased regularly, exposed surfaces etc, surprising how quickly they can develop play and wear out.. And they compromise ride quality/NVH too. Good for some applications no doubt, though.
