Safari Y60 Factory Diff Lock

Postby Surf4x4 » Mon Oct 24, 2016 3:35 pm

Gidday guys,

Is there anyone in the South Island (preferably close to Blenheim) who may be able to point me in the direction of an engineering firm or race gear maker etc who can weld and strengthen my dog clutch in my rear diff?

At current the teeth on my dog gear/clutch have worn down over time so now the locker does not engage.
Nissan quoted over $700 for a new dog gear!
Solenoid is a new Mac Valve set up and all electrics/vacuum lines work.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.
Cheers

Mike Jones gears in chch has been doing that sort of stuff for years . Seemed to know his stuff whenever I've takin him any bike gearbox stuff .

It's not exactly a part that should wear ?? Unless retards try put it in with one wheel spinning .

Cheers mate, will get in contact with him.
Yeah that's exactly what has happened, previous owner was obviously a bit of a muppet.
