WTB: RB30 head.... long shot

Postby RobLucking » Sun Aug 31, 2014 4:24 pm

Hey Guys,

I realise this will be a long shot, but worth a go none the less

Does anyone on here have a SOHC RB30 head (VL commodore etc) and all the EFI/ECU/loom to go with it? I am doing a carb to efi change on my RB30 Patrol

i have some hens teeth around here somewhere.

JUst buy the whole engine and bolt it in.... IT will produce more power with the late model head then the RB30 will anyway as the RB30 bottom end will need new bearings and rings at the age its at if you are going efi.

you cant bolt the twin cam head striaght on to the 30 block without tig welding up the oil gallery on the face of the head that feeds the Variable timing advance but the RB25de neo will leave any single cam rb30 for dead.
Waiter...there is a drought in my glass.

Whats your location Rob?
Freight could be more than cost of the motor.
PM me if anywhere near Nelson

Im located in christchurch

Im not wanting to do a NEO or DE swap as its more work than I would like to go through at this stage

Im pretty happy with the power/drive of the RB30 carbie but I have struck issues with flooding the float bowl on angles which is not ideal!

My block is in good condition so dont NEED one, however no harm in getting complete engine

more importantly I need

*Inlet Manifold
*ECU
*Wiring loom
*throttle sensors/air flow meter etc
