You'll be able to bolt on the Prado box with all factory parts. The sideways offset likely won't worry your driveshaft since your vertical offset is probably more than your horizontal offset and the drive shaft only cares about max compound angle. You'll likely find it make maybe 10% difference and that'll only be at full drop.
For example:
If your T-case was centred, but with the diff 300 mm lower (at full droop) your total offset is 300 mm.
If you T-case is 150 mm offset, and the diff is 300 mm lower, then your total offset is 335 mm.
If we (willy nilly) assume that your drive shaft is 800 mm long (uj centre to uj centre) then your angle for each uj goes from 10.3 degrees to 11.4 degrees.
Now that's not insignificant by any means, but for the number of K's your doing, the reduced life isn't going to bother you.
There are a couple of winch trucks in Taupo that have run the Prado case with Saf diff for years. That's also how I'm building mine.
Note, I've assumed your flanges are parallel when I stated those angles. At full droop my flanges are not parallel, or even close, and I'm a little worried about it. But if I never finish it, it won't break!

Re: first surf build.
that's very helpful info you always come through with Arron, much appreciated. I've got most parts of the puzzle there, im confident the rear will be ok, but the front driveshaft would be reduced to 500 or 550 (200shorter than current )overall length. that is the bit that potentially concerns me re angles and bind.
havent had time to measure heights and angles from flange to flange yet though

Re: first surf build.
Oh yeah that sounds a bit drastic.
I say chop EVERYTHING behind the B-Pillar off and remove the firewall. Move the engine back to make the front drive shaft longer and then rebuild the back end in full truggy mode (including PTO driven God winch) and go racing!

that might be a little drastic haha
I'll come up with a solution at some point

Re: first surf build.
I did briefly search for a twin transfer or something along the lines of that to push it backwards, but that doesn't seem to exist for these transfer/trans.
I have collected a hzj79 transfer/the correct extension housing to go from lex auto to transfer.(thanks big)
have a step up ag box to drive the hydro pump through..
unless theres a genius way to drive the hydro I cant come up with?
saw 4wdstuffs Suzuki at the trials with crank drive, but I have a radiator in the way.. dont have much(any) room to run additional belts or gears/chains from front pulley.
might be a dream for a while longer.
did see a man on youtube modify a hilux gear drive transfer to accept a cruiser pto, but learnt my lesson and would like to try keep this somewhat unmodified parts.
picture of our little disaplay at trials for something to look at

Re: first surf build.
had a brief play with it at the Toyota fest at Hampton downs, was expecting a little more the what was there from there advertised track...
this little water decided to kill my alt and a few idler bearings...
also cooling fan shat itself again- intermittently it would not come on. I think the control valve in the pump was sticky.- but unable to find replacement parts, and now not trusting the hydro fan I've removed it.
made most of the new mount with some high flow 12v fans. this has freed up some extra space now.
potentially look at fitting a hydro pump where the ac pump used to be, and an additional toothed pulley like a lot of poms seem to do on there land rovers.- still a long term plan
also I got sold organic coolant when i first put it together. what a prick of stuff that is, solid jelly clumps clogging up my radiator, intercooler and water heat exchanger.
going to try some coolant flush, but I imagine I'll need a rad shop to try flush it out.

been a while since I've been here... but been out a couple times since changing to elec fans- few issues with aftermarket thermostats...(also genuine is cheaper....)
had a trip up to woodhil and one to thonpsons. few pics and maybe a video if I work out how

steering box started leaking sitting in the shed...
but I've got a plan, probably take another few years to execute...
