Yep NOW the improvments have started only only and only a few weeks I'm impressed. Why does this always happen?

For some reason VL ones are like gold. Try 80 series Audi or some older porsches (924, 944) They use external and seem to be heaps cheaper second hand. I paid about $20 for a Audi one.
Toy - Zuk chassis tub, hilux 4.88 axles and transfer, Nissan CA18DE motor and auto trans, sc12 supercharger, 32 10'5 simex, twin motor 8274 custom freespool. Well the parts are all there in various corners of the shed

yeah , got quoted $150 for a 2nd hand VL off tardme
Can get a new Walbro 255hp for about $160.

Any specific 80 series Audi , ie V6 , 2.0 or 1.8?? or a year to go by. been getting some bizare responces from sellers on Tardme

Are you running your striaght tank to filter to pump to engine? or through a surge tank setup with a 2nd lift pump?

I couldn't tell ya what era 80 series audi it was out of. I just stunmbled across it on trademe. At the moment I am just running stock 413 tank filter pump andn second filter just before the fuel rail. Needs a surge tank though, just another mod on the list

Even with the Angle Drive kit the dizzy is only about 10mm off the firwall. Should really have sloted the engine mounts and slid the engine forward another 10mm.
(Would have forgone the need for urgent BFH clearnace on the brake booster during install) .
But clearance to my electric fan setup is tight at the front as well.

Scored a Bosh Fuel pump off tardme from a 170hp BMW e30.
Plumbed it up with in line HP filter , urgent style at the stock filter location underneath.

Factory Loom was stripped back to the firewall join and lights etc, seperated from engine, ing, dash etc.
Engine Loom has been routed behind the engine - throgh the firewall into the passenger footwell area. ECU / 3 Relays /Fuse box / 12v distribution and Factory loom join plug at connected at this location . Plan is to mount all this water venerable stuff in a sealled jiffy box , that will sit above the parcel tray.

Will have to tweak the extractors as well , as they are touching the gearbox cross member underneath. but then - any excuse to play with the mappy.

So a heap of small jobs to do , but .................................

Image

my Phone's Mic wasn't dealing with the nosie from extractors only, very well . So quite alot of digital clippping in the audio .But you get the idea. 8)

Still needs light timing and a tune up , alternator bearings replaced - for starters

but amazed at how well the engine runs and how easy it was to start. :D
