Re: bj40 build...
thought I'd try and feck around with a couple of ideas I've had for the junker..
mounted a rear 'rex' down winch under the deck on the rear shock top crossmember.. had to clearance the bugger unfortunately, so away with some deck!
then due to the tyres and not wanting to ruin them, clearanced the guards a metric farkload, also unstitched the inner tyre well and lifted it and dovetailed the back a touch.. hopin it'll give the boots some room to swing..
guards clearing.. yeah, almost as ugly as rok...
doved a little.. sort of a trial for ideas I have..
then made a plate to support the rear cage stay as they needed to angle in a little..

You farkers all need to give up drinking if you can't be pleasant.
That thing looks as good as an asian driver Nibz, oh wait a sec............
Did the "rex" down winch haul it's arse down plenty and stabilize things as it should?
And as it happens, the mutt should be getting hauled out when the new rad has been manufactured (sometime in Nov, getting made to mining spec), but there will no doubt be something else that will need doing as well.

Re: bj40 build...
So much talk about trucks that most probably thought are just urban legends lol.
Good to see the 40 getting some love nibs. As for the mutt, rok, I've seen lots of rocks lately with no white or yellow paint on them it's alright to be afraid

Re: bj40 build...
hopefully I'll catch up with a few wheelers whilst out Sheffield way this weekend.
As for my junker... It's sooooo not made for this type of event/wheeling but thought I'd take it out and have a laugh and see how things went. Not lookin at bein competitive, more lookin to get a handle on how it goes and test a couple of things at a fun day out with like minded idiots.

Yes I agree, the buggy boys are of concern
We've caught up showtime?
We've caught up showtime?
Re: bj40 build...
I'm glad I'm neither buggy or crawler. Only there to convert fuel into noise

Yeah dude I reckon. Feeling some summer missions are on the list. Guy who is building up the radiator was told no massive rush as long as he could get it sorted by mid-late nov. The trailer is having a full tidy up as well (at the sandblasters at the moment) and will hopefully have that back together in a couple of weeks or so. Let me no if you get that nitrogen recharge system sorted so I can burgle some to fill the canisters up
You'll be in clazeeasain? (as you have a trailer now )

Your'e an enigma nutter
If I don't get a chance to catch up before the plug, have a blast. Or if you grab the bug out of the yard tonight, you can stop in at my dump and change the wheels over, 3.5t hydraulic "jacking system" is still at home

Re: bj40 build...
Off topic... but as you saw Rok, I dodnt need the big tyres to have fun. I gather you all run them as compensation?

Yeah but did Sheffiled really count? (it was pretty dry). The bloody roads on my side of town are more challenging that that........
(oh and I don't care about my tiny dick syndrome, I let the Nissan boys do all the flopping )

Re: bj40 build...
Yup.. guns holstered. Was dry. Wasnt tight (by buggy standards) or steep. Rear fiddles would have been handy for a nibby sized truck

Re: bj40 build...
Was good to see you up here anyway dude. You should aim to try and get back when Mr McCready brings his beast over.

Ouch...... but fair
Re: bj40 build...
Possibly a bit much in one go Jezza. I should aim to get it out from under all the stuff that is buried with first. Still, no rush eh?

Give us warning... I'm sure you'll need 36 months notice if your planning on attending.

Was looking at some of the older stuff on Tom's facebook page recently. Even looked back far enough to see a pic of Rok's truck out of the garage.

Thanks Wayne, At least I can count on you bud.
I seem to recall that the last time it was out, it was the only truck to have no issues (other than me backing into a tree), or to see a strop or winch all weekend. (mind you I am too scared to put it anywhere near McCready's weapon)
