Suzuki sj413
Suzuki sj413
This is a little Suzuki I got for a cheap run about, since my other truck is far from roadworthy.
Had a warn winch stored away for just an occasion so got started on a bull bar

Re: Suzuki sj413
Looks like a tidy enough little beast, good work on the winchbar. Must be a bit slow compared to your offroad truck though!
Re: Suzuki sj413
Ha ha yup for a laugh tested how long it took to get to 100km. It took a whopping 20 seconds lol but felt like super speed it the little beast

Re: Suzuki sj413
Where did you get those headlights from? Look a lot better than the factory half candle power ones hahaha
Re: Suzuki sj413
Ebay. But they not a sealed unit, only semi sealed so not so good for a real hard core suzy. Lights are real bright way better than stock
Re: Suzuki sj413
Next on my list is rock sliders. Found some cool ones on Low Range Off Road so got to copying
Re: Suzuki sj413
Its a body mount style held on with riv nuts and bolts through the floor with sandwich plates for strength.
Likes the design because it sits up real high and looks real tidy

Re: Suzuki sj413
Also got some huge off set alloy 15 X 10 with 31. Can't turn at the moment but looks wicked ha ha
Re: Suzuki sj413
Is the 16b the 16v? Nice little truck mate! What'd you pay for it?
Re: Suzuki sj413
Thanks, yup g16b 16v found if in my town for 600 with adaptor plate, and only 158k on the clock mean score But loom has been chopped at ECM so there is that hassle of re wiring everything
Re: Suzuki sj413
Bit more done had to reduce size to fit existing and bit close to frame rail but will do till I have the cash for some extractors.
Re: Suzuki sj413
Nice wagon making faster progress than mine haha. Finally move into my new shed uh I mean house on the weekend so that should change. Good score on the engine! I started with nothing in the engine bay and I scored a complete g16a 8v with adapter plate and engine mounts and a good SJ gearbox for 500.. Only had to replace the SU carb as it was stuffed and do the valves seals, time will tell if its ever going to run properly or I brought a dud haha

Re: Suzuki sj413
Made a bracket to hold ecu above the glove box. To try keep it as dry as possible. Had a problem getting her started but found I had missed 1 wire but after it was found she started right up
Next plumbed it up to original air box and snorkel.
Quick oil change and fresh spark plugs.
runs mint love the extra power and uses half the gas my old badly tuned engine used.

Re: Suzuki sj413
Looks just like its always been in there haha. The main snag I've hit is that the extractors don't quite clear the top suspension arm (3 link coil front). Going to mess with the drivers side engine mount think of I can lean it over a fraction more it will just clear. Its a good hand built stainless manifold that came with the engine so don't really want to take it off or hack it up if I can help it. Fixed the carb so ordered the parts from the UK to fine tune it for that engine, just gotta plumb in a pressure reg to stop it throwing fuel everywhere at idle haha. And numerous other things to finish, I swear the more I get done the more bits it ends up in haha

Re: Suzuki sj413
Nice work on the intake setup, definitely one of the best ones I've seen. Just wondering if you blocked off the breather hose connection on the airbox lid, obvious I know but sometimes these things can be overlooked.
Re: Suzuki sj413
ha ha thanks. Ya shoved a bolt in the hole, but been thinking the breather filter on the rocker cover may let water in so thinking of plumbing it back to the air box.
