New ORE Stickers - Voting thread

Postby SV1K » Sat Sep 13, 2014 6:32 pm

Hi all,

We have been working on some new stickers and have come up with a few different styles... so we now need your input as to what one you like the best for us to get printed ....

Please DON'T ORDER your sticker/s in here, this is a voting thread only...

Below are the sticker options, please use the vote option using the number beside the sticker you like...

Underneath the ore should be "nz 4wd forum" or similar

italics are harder to read on vehicles

Hi it shouldn't
This is a sticker and will not be able to be put in there. it's not a vinyl sticker it's just like the old ones i.e. individual letters that are held together by a backing sheet that you peal off once applied to your window...

I think I better book an optometrist visit.

Find them all hard to read, especially the backwards italics :-(

I like number 3 but I reckon it would look better with a capital "R" http://www.OffRoadExpress.kiwi

Nope, it's never had that and we don't want that either, looks way too much like the import ones and we want to stay away from that!

Sorry but this sounds crazy. The actual banner of this website uses a capital R.
We all talk about "ORE" not "OE"

A sticker exactly like the banner at the top of the page would be cool.

Agree with this ,

Not sure you need the www or the kiwi at the end because if you put offroadexpress into the net it takes you to the correct place even if you have never been there before, mate at work tested it.

Cheers

Probably cost more to do one like this but I'll happily get a couple if they were like this

I have worked in the sign industry for some years and there is some well known guidelines for choosing font style/size and color combinations that contrast best.
What I would suggest is bring up the options at the top of this post and stand back from your screen a meter or so and see what option you find stands out the best.
To me thats what is important, we want it to "pop" out and be instantly recognizable, more important than a blingy style thats takes too long to read.
Maybe we could add a style that is could be read upside down as well  ...just kidding

Might be time to can the voting and just print the logo from the top it the page. Seems like a "just do" to me. Then we can get back to building our trucks :D
