I hear you on that one. I have been looking at everyones trucks over the last few years and making mental notes...
I have also tried to make the ongoing maint easier by not building everything around it so that lets say the winch or battery ends up trapped and you need to lift off the cage to get to anything.... hahahaha

Well bit of an update... Done some more stuff..... Rear cage finally completed, radiator fitted and fans.
Also painted the rear panel so I could fit the rear cage for the final time.
Now rather than retype all my stuff I have updated a thread on another forum.
Would love to use this one but adding photo's is awkward in this one for a mass update.
So head over to

If there are specific stuff you want to know please ask away I have a tonne of Photo's...

Been a bit quiet on the forums lately so thought I would update my build.
Well basically its finished, got cert and now I am fine tuning it.
I originally had a read mount radiator, worked fine off road but I had troubles keeping her cool on road, the fans pretty much stayed on all the time.
My concern was if I ever lost fans then I am dead in the water as it WILL overheat.
So made the decision to put it back to factory with a radiator up the front.
This had the effect of having to move my Intercooler radiator.
But with some cunning placement of vibration dampeners I found in in my box of bits and some factory holes in the radiator support panel a new home was located.
As far cert went, the new rear brakes and 80 series booster made a huge difference to stopping ability and combined with hi boil race brake fluid it flew thru the brake test on my old std metal brake pads....
Had to add a few things to allow it to pass, needed at least one muffler... So in went a small coby style unit. Also the filer neck of the fuel tank I made needed a scoop to catch any spills when filling and direct it away to under the truck, got cunning with this one and used a CV boot stretched over the neck and a drain hose attached thru it with a gland nut...Cert man said it was unusual but it worked !
Here are a few pictures.
If anyone wants other info of pics of anything just ask, happy to share what I have done.
