WTB G16B Trottle position sensor

Postby vitman » Tue Dec 24, 2013 7:08 pm

my vitara started to give an intermitant misfire and it would only be at a specific throttle position so i have traced it back to the TPS .
Therefore i am in need of a new one does anyone now where i can get a new one ?,they are available on ebay but are around $200 + $50ish for freight (ex USA) :?

When mine went (you can test them with a multimeter, see http://www.fixkick.com/sensors/tests/TPS-testing.html) I went to pickapart and browsed cars and found several that would swap in - I'm currently running one from a 3.0 maxima, don't know the year sorry - fitted perfectly (right way around - some apparently identical ones don't fit the drive flanges), one from a 4 cyl camry also tested out as the same. I'm sorry I can't find the spreadsheet from when I was doing it, but maybe that can help point in the right direction...
