Suzuki Grand Vitara 2002

looking at buying a Suzuki Grand Vitara 2002 diesel
its running the peugeot diesel motor i can get it for a good price with good ks
not after anything fast just want somthing cheep to run reliable and handy
i have had a few zukes but never a diesel one
looking at a small lift some 30s and im away lol
from what ive read online this is the better motor to get or am i wrong thanks

Had one, good economy 750k to a tank, parts can be an issue as they are expensive and not usually in stock. not a very powerful motor if you are doing any towing etc ... found my one struggling with 5 adults into a headwind. on the plus side they have steel diffs

Avoid the Mazda diesel powered ones...

parts as in motor parts or all parts in general are hard to get ?
it will only be a weekend toy and getting to and from work car (i do about 750ks a week)

ended up being a shitter oil everywhere
stinky dirty thing lol
so walked away

after looking at the suzuki in wellington and finding it had more issues than i was after , i found one in palmerston north in a car yard 2 years newer a lot tider and 5 speed
got it for a steel offered them a silly offer and they took it
so what do people recomend for simple mods ?
can 15 inch rims fit as it has 16 inch rims on it at the moment
