98 Grand vitara v6

Postby basics » Wed Oct 24, 2018 3:20 pm

Just seen one on the side of the road for a decent price.

My question is how thirsty are these v6 engines for daily driving?

Cheers

HI I have Vitara v6. Yes they like petrol. The figures out on the Internet are about right. Nice to drive. Check that you can't hear the cam chains. That will cost $2500 from the dealer. I did it myself for $1000 of parts.

Cheers mate. I decided not too. Rust and leaking oil some where.

I'm not sure i have heard a v6 vitara that you can't hear the cam chains:) They run like a bucket of bolts, even well before they are about to fail! (IMHO).
