Radiator coolant

Post by diver9888 »

Hi my coolant in my '93 v6 3l motor is getting low. Silly question, but I can't work out which colour it is meant to be as there is no radiator cap, and the bowl cant be seen through, and I believe it might have been topped up with the wrong one.

Best bet is to drain the lot, give it a flush with a hose and put new stuff in should be changed every few years anyway.

Yes, I do need to clean it out as it is possibly old, but I need to fill it up with something right now, and even checking on other forums I do not know whether I'm meant be using red or green

Just put water in it. It's not like it's cold outside! The anti corrosive properties will be fine till you can do the job properly. Better than mixing coolants.
