What so the 2 temperature senders attached to the radiator do?

Postby Herd » Wed Mar 23, 2022 9:07 pm

I have a 1992 GQ petrol TB42 Auto fuel injected model.
I have just replaced the radiator with a new 1. I noticed there is a temperature sender mounted on the driver's side on the side of the lower hose connector and another temperature sender on the driver's side near the top of the radiator. I presume, due to their different positions, they do 2 different jobs. What are those jobs?

Couldn't tell ya, I have no such senders on the TD42.
I'll have a nose through the manual and see if it mentions.

Presumably one tells hot and one tells cold, could be for intercooler/turbo/EGT sensor, or the lower one a water level alarm or...?
No loose wires/plugs there that look like they fit?
