PTO winch holes in drum

Postby kiwibronco » Tue Jan 28, 2020 7:12 am

Hey guys been a while since I've been on here. Been a slow rebuild of my 89 gq shorty. So fitting a pto winch. Noticed the drum has two holes drilled about 4mm in the center of the drum. Is that normal? Just worried it just let's mud and water in but they look like they are suppose to be there. Are they or should I cover them up?

Are the holes in the centre of the drum itself or in the side flanges?.
I'm pretty sure mine doesn't have any holes in it centre of drum.
