Replace rusty sliding window frames

Postby 42south » Thu Dec 24, 2020 6:38 pm

Hi Guys
I’m posting this as a very satisfied customer of “fast autoglass” from Christchurch.
My 1991 SWB Safari had the usual rusty sliding rear window frames. I checked out replacement frames, but they are big bucks. My research showed that many people had replaced these sliders with one piece windows.
I saw on trademe that fast autoglass would supply a kit of 2 solid glasses including rubber seals, for $350 plus freight.
As I was touring in the vicinity I arranged for them to supply and fit them.
They had it done in 2 hours, the quality of fit and the rubbers is excellent.
There is also a terrific coffee shop cafe across the road.
No I don’t own the business, or know the owner.
Cheers
1991 SWB GQY60 TD42 safari.
DTS turbo kit.
