they only had 4 entries and 2 of them were from their own club the other 2 were from Tararua, then one member from Tararua pulled out so there was only a total of 3 teams so the decision was made to postpone the event in the hope of getting more entries later in the year.

I think they will get more entries, but unfortunately for them, I think they have chosen the Gwavas Weekend

Cheers for that, dont think it'll conflict with Gwavas this year they run it bi-annual so it wont be run again untill 2013. :D

Its a win/win for everyone if kiwi4x4 and Costa (and Gwavas) can get their events staggered at different times of the year :D

Event now 1/2 Sept 2012 not 1-4 June QBW 2012

its worth supporting if your considering it as there are very few events in the lower north Island as it is and the costa club will probably end up discontinuing it if they dont get enough entries and support for this years event

yep Ray pinfolds had his ex sam baddley winch truck entered a few times, I think all they try to keep out of the event is trials trucks coz they cleaned up big time in the first event in 2009

You would probably be ok as:

Trucks must have original factory ‘A’ pillars, factory windscreen and factory doors, although half doors are acceptable.

In the past I think this was to split out the buggy/trials trucks from the "club" style trucks.

Would make sense perhaps to create different classes for these sorts of events as this can cover a wide range of trucks. eg standard / modified / ?

Maybe contact the organisers :?:

Edit: Sadam bet me to it
