Chch pubmeet 2nd August
As I have posted on the Godley trip thread
I reckon its time we met at a bar in Shaketown.
Thursday may mean that some of the out of towners can make it too.
The bar is SMASH PALACE,
SW corner of Bealey Ave and Victoria St. Look for the high scaffolding and white plastic sheeting. Tis an outdoor bar with good beers and food
Run by some good folks who are into bikes and old cars.
There will be heaps of old bikes in at the bar, coz Thursdays is Bike Night.
We should make it 4wd Night too.
One of the owners Greg built most of the complex out of an old caravan that hew has set up on site as a workshop. No doubt someone will be stripping a bike or working on an ancient car there.
Wear some warm clothing coz the bar is open air, centred around a painted up old Red bus.
You will find me in a grey beanie with Broken River in orange on it.

Re: Chch pubmeet 2nd August
Timing
I'm thinking about 8pm....
Still have lots to do. Currently just dropped a load of firewood in Arthur's Pass.
Truck still to sort, including one WOF issue. Roof rack to mod foer my short roof, before i head further south after the 7th.
Recovery gear to de-muck from todays efforts. Managed to pull my ground anchor out even with 14 spikes driven in... Double line pull hauling big logs!
Any one else other else coming as well as MuddyPlumber, Pete, Phil and myself?

Dress code? Don't think there is one. Well, just make sure you're wearing something warm I think.
The place is across the road from where the old burger king used to be.
