Hey guys have checked out the website few times just signed up!
Going to mod my mu for abit of fun this summer.
What im planning so far is to to do a 50mm body lift suspension lift with some shackels wind the torsions up in the front and flip the ball joint.
Was thinking of getting some 32" wheels but found some cheapish 33s (12.5 wide) on trademe near by, whats everyones opinion will they be a good fit. If not what would be a good fit?
Trying to find a bighorn intercooler and scoop and its going to get a costume change from the factory blue it is now to a flat black!
Anything else any one would sugest!
New to this so open to ideas
Cheers
Rob

Re: 33" MU
i run 265/75/16 on my mu that gives you a 32 inch tyre used wizzard rims and seems to work well offset is differnt as they sit in futher but dont have any problems
Re: 33" MU
Welsome
I first ran 265/75/16 MTR's on standard offset steel rims with a 40mm body lift.
I'm now running 33 MTR's with -24 offset rims with also cranking up the torsion bars about 25mm, you can go higher and do a ball joint flip but its not really needed

What benefits are there of flipping the ball joint?

The main reason for the flip is to get the camber back to normal, your also supposed to be able to get a little bit more flex by flipping them as well but there's no real point because it's still ifs

Does any one know of a 4wd shop in the south island that I can contact to get accessories from some people on trademe are too difficult to deal with.

Hey DCPTN,
I have done a 75mm body lift, 50 mm suspension lift and I can fit my 33's with out any gaurd rub issues only on occasion, I am not to sure about your 50mm lift if that will be enough? especially with 33's but I am sure you have read the other suggestions.
I drive a 1997 Isuzu Mu 3.1 L Turbo Diesel.

Re: 33" MU
how much does it cost to have that parts and have the truck modified? I want to know the expenses on the mechanical and of course labor work.
Re: 33" MU
mud_slinger(Hamish) is running 34" super swampers with i think 2" body and 2" suspension lift. Id say you'd clear 33's easy with abit of a lift.
