Bighorn lift

Postby ZachK-B » Thu Feb 16, 2012 10:17 pm

I have recently purchased a 1990 2.8 LWB Bighorn and am wanting to raise it and run 35 inch tyres(or 37s if they will fit). I was thinking about a solid axle conversion and 4 inch suspension and 2 inch body lift. I am thinking Landcruiser VX diffs front and rear and converting to coil over suspension. As i am new to 4wding i am not sure exactly what work is involved with this, i have heard its harder than it sounds. Does anybody know of any kits i can get for these?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

You will find heaps of info on all things Isuzu at http://forum.planetisuzoo.com/

I run a 2" body lift, and about 2" suspension lift on my 1990 LWB Bighorn and my 33"s rub a little still at times.

hay there welcome to the site

just a question by the time you have finished modifing the bighorn with all the cruiser gear wouldn't it just be easier to buy a vx install a 4" spring lift and fit the 35s on and cruise with that, would be similar wheel base with a bigger motor and not much differance in weight by the time you have done modding your truck

just a thought
