would i get a cert if i took the ABS out of my jeep and fit a non ABS sistom?. its a 1995 jeep Cherokee

I didn't think the 95 XJ had ABS brakes.
The one I had a while back didn't.

this one is the 1996 model but reg in 1995

IF the same production model came without ABS or was optional then there is no issue.

say this is a 1995 reg but its a 1996 model but it was made on the same year as non ABS model it is ok. will it need a cert if i take ABS out what i have done is got a 1995 non ABS sistom and taking out the ABS and put that sistom in should that be ok?

Legally you will need cert.
But if you did the conversion using only factory parts, then it would appear factory (removing all abs wiring, wheel sensors and rings, dash lights, stickers etc). And then who would know??

The vehicle has to be 14 yrs or older and will require cert.

No one here is going to say it will or not. They haven't inspected it to make that decision or are not qualified to say so.

However they have told you that you can remove the ABS system as the vehicle is over 14 years old and replace it as non ABS. If you have a donor vehicle to swap all the parts across then you will have the factory set up. Job done.

However you are legally required to get the conversion certified. Whether you do that or not is up to you, not the people on here.

Whether the job has been done well enough to pass a cert, especially with all your other modifications and larger tyres, is down to the individual certifier so your best option is to talk to him/her.
