plastic sheet

Postby mudsurfv6 » Sun Nov 29, 2015 5:13 pm

I'm trying to find some used plastic sheet for putting inside guards between chassis and body to stop mud covering engine. about 1-2mm thick. bendy but will hold its shape.

but can't find any, does anybody know where to get some or what it is originally used for.

I've used some for other vehicles in the past but don't know where it came from and I have none left.

or something else that would do the job but costs stuff all and is easy to find.

thought of inner tube but too soft. one option is corflute, what real estate signs are made of.

any ideas?

Go to your local roofing outfit as they use plastic sheet in between the iron sheeting etc.. it's about 2 mm thick.. just right 8)

What about those blue plastic barrels you can get? I've seen them used a few times.

thought about them for the flare part but it needs to be straight and flat for inside bit above chassis.

was in the warehouse today, saw some of those flexible bucket things. flexible but still really rigid, cut the bottom out & handles off, lay rest flat and cut to shape, $7 each so got two and 2 more for flares aswell.
