Rim repair

Righto, have a feeling my beadlocks might have been made on shitty rims... any who bent a centre well out of line. What's the best way/who is the to fix this? I'm guessing get someone to Weld a new centre in? Fix them one at a time as they bend...
Around Waikato would be preferred to save shipping haha

I won't get anything out of the guy that made them.. I've had them for 3 years.
I didn't think it was excessive.it bananaed my panhard also.video is on my build of the fateful moment

yeah mate just get the centre cut out and a new one welded in its a pretty simple job and cheaper than getting a new rim beadlocked, I've seen plenty of bent rims before but not a centre like that

Yeah certainly surprised me...hopefully it's a one off.. any recommendations on who to go to? Otherwise it's out with the grinder and buy a centre from cardwells

dunno who does them around Hamilton/Auck, Elite does them in Chch and Howatts in Wgtn

before you go and buy a 15" center from any of the stock car supply shops measure the inside of your hoop.... I was just about caught a few yrs back there was a 5mm difference on there hoop dia vs mine
Also a hit like that could have warped the hoop.... easy measure for this is with the tyre off and the center out measure for round and that the sides sit flat

I will contact ss and see what they recommend.it is an unbranded rim unfortunately

John bates palmy can press centres back to straight then maybe look at a few sly strengthening riibs

It wouldnt be that hard just to cut the beadlock ring off the bent rim and weld back onto a new rim.
Get one of the local machine shops to part the bead off the new rim in the lathe, then just weld it up yourself.

Old boy has a lathe big enough to swing a rim I'm pretty sure.so that could be an option

Yeah, as soon as you spin it up in a lathe, youll see how out of round they are from the factory, you have quite a bit of leeway when you tack the ring on.
I just even the ring up with the ring at four points around the rim. Just like you would clock it up in the four jaw chuck.
Depending on the pcd of the bolts on you beadlock ring i even have a simple jig to use with a lathe center to tack it on central.....
