Hi All. Need a low rise <95mm 2 post clear floor hoist, maybe 4-4.5T max. BUT needs to be the type that does NOT require it to go up out of the interlocks before it goes down.
Thoughts? middle of the range, not cheapie or costie!!

Re: what type of 2 post hoist to get???
I bought an old mid 90's 2 post for cheap, converted it from 3 phase to single phase with an all up cost of $1000. It works well but the issue I have is the arms are too short meaning I can't space the posts wide enough for a wide vehicle. I have to climb out the back door on wide vehicles as I can't open the front doors wide enough to get out. I'm not overweight either.
Get one with big arms and wide spacing if you want to work on wide vehicles.

Deciding on a 2 Post hoist. Jeez wish I had your problems
A pit/ramp pit will be a whole lot cheaper and easier and may even fit where you are.
You'll need a good foundation for a hoist. I wouldn't expect you could bolt it to the average garage floor.
Second hand 3ph gear I would generally expect to be thrashed, but can often be had cheap and may do for you.
