Wow Three days as mother of the bride coming up
and I'm not allowed to wear my boots
Wonder if I would be missed if I went bush
Time to drop the cake of now I've finished it , hope I don't trip

The church is still standing....

Big day dawned bright and warm.
Thank goodness, what a hassle if it had rained .

No majors on the day
However,
Matrons of honour do remember to tuck all of your dress in vehicle before driving off.

Bride customarily late .....
she is my daughter after all

Couple happily married.
I now have a son in law plus grandchildren older than my son

A few looks and comments,
What no trousers and steel caps?
and much to the disappointment of some,
the cake did not topple,
I didn't trip, fall or set anything alight.

A very enjoyable time for everyone.

As for bush.....
it came to me instead,
A few trees came down in the yard when the weather changed,
so back to boots and trousers
and a wee bit of clearing up before I can go out again.

I might just decorate his cake the way he wanted his sister's done
hopefully I will have plenty of time to design it
