Cape Pallister

Post by frederic26 »

Quick trip to Cape Pallister, after the lighthouse, we took the track which was bumpy and great to drive.. except at a point where the rocks are a bit rock n' roll :) so didn't challenge the driver and passengers more than that...

Good timing for the seals...

So the gate at the lighthouse carpark isn't locked?

Such an awesome place out there. We used to get permission to spotlight out past the lighthouse there. Used to be able to drive all the way to white rock too

Let's say that it is just closed but not locked(...). Have been very careful to stay on the track and... apparently, another one was ignoring the camping warning... not so good.

I was planning to reach "white rock" as I love that place but passengers weren't so please with the bumps after a few kilometers.. it was also bit hard but love the track

That gate has been like that as long as I can remember (closed, but not locked). They're not so hot on campers around there because they've had a few fires around there recently due to campers not putting their fires out properly.

There is a locked gate near the white rock end, so you won't be able to get around the whole way, unfortunately. I don't know if permission is gettable or not.

I do. We've stopped there for lunch a few times over the years :)

There's also a historic stone wall around there too. I have no other info on it except that there is one there haha.
