Ok it's time to be SERIOUS :!: . Due to the amount of rain we have had , unless it stops and clears up I think we should postpone tomorrow night's trip. I'm thinking of the damage it will cause to the ORE site, the track itself and the risk to ourselves and vehicles.
Just think of the mileage the 4WD basher's would get if we were to damage the track and/or have an accident and then the other 4WD clubs would jump on the band wagon and loudly declare that their club would never do anything like that and that ORE are a bunch of w--ker's.
In saying this , I will still be at the gate at 7.oopm to have a look and then make a private decision, so it will have nothing to do with this site , I will make an environmental and safety assessment to go or not. Uness the weather improves it will be NOT.

MIGHT GET DIRTY,

FITZY.

I'm with you on this one Fitzy.

See what the day brings tomorrow. As much fun as it would be there is no point in being silly about things. I will try to pay the track a visit during the afternoon and see what it looks like. I will make a post on here by 5.30pm to lat everyone know the outcome.

Glad to see some sense prevailing. Left New Brighton this morning at 0545 and it was still pissing down, got to town and lite drizzle. Just look at the metservice and it looks like cold southerlies and showers, so I am officially pulling out. I am going back to my original plan of going up xmas eve afternoon. Meet in the PMH carpark at 1pm for a 1:30 pm departure.
Call me on 021 925114 sat if interested as my home computer has crapped itself.

It looks like the rain will be clearing up, but will still be very cold so should be ok.

I work 5mins from worsleys and the sun is coming through the clouds here now hopefully it wil stay that way. :D

All is still on. I have been up the track this arvo and a bit of water lying around but not too much.

It is VERY slippery.

If you are coming then these are the minimum requirements:

Tow Hooks (front & rear)
Recovery strop
33inch or larger mud tyres with good tread.
Prefer shovel, extinguisher etc also.

Vehicle scrutineering before we start off up the hill!!!!!

We don't want any problems

See you all there at 7pm at the gate.

Hello guys
Went up here for a look last weekend and it has been permanently shut. There is a gate just before it turns to gravel rd.
Also is there any other tracks on the banks peninsula?
Cheers
