Hi All,

Since I'll be leading this trip there has been a small change of plan. Due to the waipara river access issues going on I think we will move the trip part to the ashley from SH1 up the ashely track and beyond for those that wish to continue.

My Surf has no rear tow hooks and a very weak front left CV spline so I wont be doing anything hard / stupid. We will be staying out of the mud holes at the lagoon area (they will be dry so you should have no temptation to play in them) because if you want to play in mud holes you should hit the waimak

I'm guessing we need a couple of bbqs. Who has one to take? I can bring one in the back of the Surf if need be (no towbar for trailer).

I'll put a poll up to gauge numbers. please indicate if your coming or not.

I can't see why we can't still go to the Waipara. We are not doing anything wrong by sticking to the riverbed, however I am happy to go to the Ashley if that's the final decision.

Picnic/BBQ @ the rocks + Ashley track sounds good to me Mike - we'll be there.

Is it perhaps worth routing the trip in reverse order ... follow the Ashley track downstream to SH1 then head to Amberly for picnic BBQ at the rocks.

Having posted NO in the poll, I may be keen to come out mid afternoon.
I assume its the same as usual, channel 19.

Where are folks likely to be around 3.30 and when are you likely to finish?
I've got to get to one of these Chrissy do's!

Ok Just a recap for the trip on sunday.

Sun 9th of December, meet at leithfield (cafe corner) at 11am, family trip easy grade 2, BBQ lunch, bring your own and have a good fun day for the kids

It was suggested that we do the ashley first then the bbq but prob a bit late to change now (sorry kev been fixing the truck most nights and its been a stressfull week at work to think and put in motion).

I wont be able to bring a bbq now as ill be coming from hamner to the trip.

See everyone at the cafe 11am.
