Looks good, gow are you planning on joining the canopy and what are you doing for the back side window?

Looks good, I like Matt4u's idea too and coiling the back eventually makes sense for his truck, keeping the rain and water out on a crap day I would have to have a canvas canopy and a heater!

I guess I am not a southern man

8) 8)
You could get a bit of plexy cut and bent to fit that back window Craig (I think). H20lva will be able to help with who to talk too about that.

Now we gotta get some proper tyres on that puppy, some duals, some longs, and you can come out playing, mainland alps styles.

Good looking chop 8) certainly leaves Matts for dead (but thats another story  )
You wont be able to cut the glass down for the rear 1/4 cause its toughened and will shatter  as soon as you try  The perspex is easy though.
Use cardboard to make a pattern. Hold it over the outside of the hole (use tape or a helper  ) Draw round the hole from the inside, then measure how much you need to add to fit to the edge of the body. You want to leave about 5mm gap between the edge of the perspex and the edge of the body. You can then flatten the cardboard out to get the shape to cut the perspex
Once you've got some perspex cut to size just heat it up along the bend line with a heatgun. The perspex gets real soft and you can pretty much bend it to whatever shape you want. you might want to practice with some offcuts so you know what it goes like, but its pretty straight forward.

Good luck

You can use either perspex or lexan. Perspex is stronger and wont scratch as bad, but it can be a bit temperamental sometimes (like cracking while you cut it  ) Lexan is softer, easier to deal with but it scratches fairly easily. I'd go for lexan myself, but your choice
5 or 6mm will be sweet.
If you want to get all flash  then once you glue the window in the hole use signwriting vinyl and run a 30mm? band round the outside edge of the window to cover the mess you can see through the lexan (hard to explain but you'll see what i'm talking about once you fit the window)

Otherwise bunnings warehouse sell perspex up here in auckland.. not too bad on price... but they only have the ?4mm stuff but you can buy smaller bits so don't need to get a huge sheet...

Haha if you want some real stuff i've got some 18mm thick stuff here i aquried for building a strong video camera housing... we built the shell out of the 18mm stuff and just put a 4mm lens in but recessed back a little, and made the lens easy to change for spares.. so far have driven a suzuki over it, but mostly designed for putting under bmx ramps etc etc...

Catch is most of the 18mm stuff has nice scratches through it (came from a kitchen display shop or something)

Also to clean up the edges after cutting it if you use a butane blowtorch and carefully apply heat you can make it clear again :)
