Short answer No. Different gearbox, transfer and diffs, and a factory body lift to clear the transmission.

And a 3.5 is heaps lots much more $$$$ than a 3.0.

How long have you had this vehicle?

The 6G72 3.0V6 from a GTO, Magna or Diamante should fit ok but you need the Pajero bits to bolt over. Such as power steering, inlet manifold, a/c, exhausts etc etc

P.S. I need a 3.5 DOHC motor!

Hey NJV6

There was a GDI 3.5 on trademe last week. I think the guy wanted 4g for it. Auction has now closed. but this is the link:
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =130550297

If it is a head issue check out the question at the bottom.

My motor isnt sounding all that flash. Hopefull the oil change with MBL8 I did at the weekend will help.

yeah its the lifters. well thats what i have been told. If it gets to bad i will pull the motor and get it rebuilt then bolt a supercharger on  no such thing as to much power

I think there are a few 3.0L pajeros being wrecked on trademe, no idea what state there motors are in sorry.

$800 rego'd, just needs amotor, the trans is there

1uz ya reckon haha, not sure bout doing another conversion, end up costing twice as much as ecpected even if you add the 50% extra ontop  might be just me

theres a motor for ya. then sell off bits to recoupe your costs.

look up v3000 on trade me. there will be heaps on there and you get to test drive the mtr so you will know its all good. thats what i would do for a simple option. slightly more complicated option is to get a gto quad cam mtr. again, id try get a damaged car. then there are wiring issues tho, but the mtr should bolt in.
