or stabbed in the back
tracks arround Hamilton/Waikato area
Hi all
good day out , took a work mate for a drive. The plan was I'll drive up to the top of Thomos then he would drive back.. well that was the plan
. After we reached the summit he said he wasn't quite ready for it ( hes a truck driver
) and he reckons we are crazy. So i had to take over the reins again .. went to move off and the accelerator cable seized solid... After much mucking around we disconnected ( broke)it off the pedal end then stretched threaded the now extended cable under the bonnet and used it as a hand controlled accelerator. Coming back, thu the mud holes was 'fun'
with Charlie the trucker having reminded me several times that he made the right decision not to drive . We made it back very quick
.... Thanks guys for the day out and help
cheers

What a great day out.
I was most impressed with the co-operation shown between all the groups concerned that went up Thompsons on Saturday.
Even me Pantry made it to the summit and back in one piece.
Am I glad we used the PRS radios for comms.
Other wise I would have ended up further down the Katikati side than I went.
My hat off to the ORE Team and the Hamilton Cozzy Club 4x4 Club.
Cheers all and have ya selves a safe holiday/Xmas.
