problems with 4x4

hi there guys 1st i lefted the front of my truck with vn commder sprrings and it was still enguaging 4x4 but nw that i have lefted the rear as well it wont enguage 4x4 to the front wheels (im not runing diff lockers) like went out yesterday and got stuck due to not having the front wheels driving now i was ramping it and then it made a realy bad nose like the gerars grinding or something .now dus any one konw what it cud be?also it is driving the cv arms to the hubs but no wheels spinng.it a 1991 escudo.3door thanks

I don't know why lifting it would have done much. If the cv shaft is spinning but not the wheel it most likely will be a hub problem. Do you still have the stock auto hubs on? They're known for giving up after a while.

it will be the auto hubs causing your problem, the std hubs will put up with a lot of shit but they do need looking after,cleaning new grease etc,ive got some auto hubs here you can have for the postage other wise get some manual hubs off a jl scudo or a 413,

ok thanks for that so you think i should take em aprat and grease them up etc?

probaly a bit late for one of your cvs but worth doing so you find which one is broken and you can have a look to see how they work while you are there, if you want another std one give me a pm,
