Need some 'Weld bends' (Ch Ch)

Post by H2OLOVA »

Building some more "Armour" on the truck in preparation for the upcoming "Rock Rash" trip 8) But cause its xmas (and i've left everything to the last minute  ) i'm 1 short of a 50mm diameter weld bend. Does anyone know where i can get one? Tried Placemakers, Mitre 10 etc but no luck  and i will try ringing around again tomorrow. but in the meantime any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

if your talking about those pre bent corners that go in pipes etc most engineering workshops that do pipework usually carry them in their store room. Not sure which workshops will be open through the break but I know for a fact that Banks Peninsular Marine over in lyttelton have them in stock (well they did when i worked there) as they were always repairing pipework on ships. Try lyttelton engineering, I would imagine they would be working through.

He's open today, and tomorrow I think. Busy by the sounds of it though.

Tried Chase??? Gasson St. They are open, was there this morning. Not sure how thick you can get them though. As they mainly supply exhaust gear.
