Pintle hooks, where to find

I need two pintle hooks for Paj.

Anybody know where I can get some. Off Wrecked Army L/Rs would be good

4WDBits i have one on the back of the VX. ill never go back to hooks on the back now.

Agreed, I never liked hooks, bloody stupid things but they're cheap by comparison with Pintle hooks. I put them both ends because it's amazing how far you can go with a push-me-pull-you and you can't do push-me-pull-you with ordinary hooks.

I did see them on 4WDbits but I was trying to keep the budget under control and hoping I could find some used ones.

Forlorn hope of course but god loves a trier!

[in my opinon] Rated hooks are better than factory hooks or no hooks, if you are straightening hooks and snapping strops then you need to be getting out winches and stuff. Its what all the comp guys seem to do...

From what I understand the forces created on a 10000lb hook recovery can create huge forces.......add to this some of the newer vehicle chassis's and you get into bending subframes and stuff.

I used to run a pintle until I saw a mate almost tear one off the back of his safari.
I'm with Jerry on this one, I only run rated hooks, if I bend it, I know I'm doing something wrong.

Pintle hooks have their place ....like everything its how you use them
