Started building my bullbar today to mount mt winch on but am a little confused with the wiring

I am guesing this is the way it works but please correct me if i am wrong

the 4 heavy cables from the control box

Yellow to yellow ringed stud on winch
Blue to blue ringed on winch
Short red cable to red ringed on winch ??????
long red to positive battery terminal on battery ?????
thin black on control box to negative battery term
and black heavy cable from battery neg to the bolt on the front of the winch motor ?????
Got a Daihatsu Something, hasn't got a Daihatsu engine.... or diffs.... and it doesn't have windows.... or doors.... but its got tyres.... :)

Hey Ive just picked up a 2nd truck and will be needing a winch for it...is there another batch of winches planned for ordering?

From memory, I think you have it right there. I dont have my doccumentation in front of me to confirm 100% sorry.

Before you install your winch, you may want to think about installing an isolating switch to the positive cable. This isolates the power going to the winch when it's not in use. Very useful when you are dunking it in water while crossing rivers ect therefore reduces the chance of stuffing the electric motor. I have one and I have never had a problem. Also gives you the ability to shut everything down if the solonoid jamms for any reason.

Bang on. Should work a treat.

Also agree with Jon about the isolation switch. As my batteries are under the passenger seat I've fitted an isolater at the passengers feet.

so what was the final price for a 9500lb with wireless remote?
also 12000lb if anyone knows?

They were $550.00 for the 12000lbs ones, the 9500lbs ones were around $525.00 or thereabouts from memory. Someone will be able to confirm this.

I paid $600 for my 12v 12000lb, that was delivered to palmy
swb lux with 7mge, trailgear crossover, trailgear rear lift kit, custom front bar, runva 1200lb winch, custom snorkel, 37" Mtrs, custom deck, lockright in the rear.

Cheers guys, thought I had it right but didn't want to have the control burst into flames on first operation :oops:

mine was $650 delivered with a tree protector, It was the hell bargin, Big thanks to Minefield and the others that helpd put this deal togethor, the deserve a DB :D

I have also finally started the mount and bull bar build, will post a thread and pics under project mods tomorrow
