95 on terrano

hi guys just thinking at the moment of updating the pathfinder its a 1991 3dr with the z24 mtr nothing really wrong with it but just thinking of that new shape 96/97 and wondering what peoples opinions of them are thinking of going to the dark side diesel/turbo and even possibily AUTO,
I KNOW THE AUTOS CAN SHYTE THEMSELVES so will be getting a warrenty but just how do these rate from people who actually know about them wouldnt be used for really extreme 4x4 (missus wont let me )more just towing and fishing trips.

Do these run the 3.0l turbo motors?

2.7 diesel engine i think. have heard of the autos getting warm when towing, so may be an idea to get a trans fluid cooler installed.

dont quote me on this but i think the 96-97 still ran the td27t as found in the d21 terranos.im not sure but they might be the td27tefi ie they have electronic fuel injection and it wasnt untill about 99?? that they changed to the 3.0l versions(which i think is the zd30)

if its the td27t with an auto,an external oil cooler is still recomended,as for the 3.0l versions,theres some talk of them being really crap and not worth touching.again,dont quote me....do ya homework or listen to somebody who is 100 percent sure of their knowlegde....im a d21 navara/terrano man myself.

ever thought about calling ya local nissan wrecker?they are usually pretty clued up with what motors are crap and what ones to buy....

all in all....my food for thought...

hi cheers for that yeh currently have a d21 just thinking of updating,yes have heard about the zd30 have spoken to a few nissan dealers about this also (been in the auto trade to long ) and yeh wouldnt touch one with a barge pole but a mate of mine brought a swb patrol over xmas with out even saying anything and didnt get a warrenty man did he get a serve when i found out
