Warn 8274 drum

Post by nz4x4 »

Has anyone ever damaged their Warn 8274 drum? I have just pulled all my winch rope off to check for damage and to give it a clean (was in the Northland winch comp) and have found a massive dent that goes about 10mm inwards (will get a pic up tomorrow)

Just wondering if this has happened to others before or what :?

Sorry a bit late replying Sam, but 've never heard of it and would be suprised if you while winching? I guess you'll have to just a buy a complete new freespool drum as the only thing needed from your old drum is the gear on the end.

I'm working on something similar but won't say anymore than that. You'll have to wait and see it at Nor-West!!!!!!!!!! If it works it will be very similar but simplier.
