JUST A REMINDER OF THE TRIP NEXT WEEKEND, THIS IS AN ORE ASSN TRIP HOWEVER IT IS OPEN TO ALL FORUM MEMBERS (see below if you need to pay the visitor fee)

This is an ORE Assn trip, however this trip is open to visitors.

Rallywoods + optional overnight
$10 per truck / $5 per person staying overnight

20 Jan
Aka's trip
ORE ASSN TRIP

Trip will be open to non assn members provided they have the required safety equipment ie hooks, $5 visitor fee payable, if you do all 3 days then this covers all 3 days. affiliated nzfwda members do not pay this fee. note the fee is normally $5 per day.

If you don't want to pay this fee you can join up ...contact Mark who is the local rep

Family friendly trip
no drinking until the days driving is done

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
towhooks
first aid kit
fire extingisher
rated recovery stop
Spade

For those in the Assn here is the Assn thread.
http://association.ore.co.nz/forums/vie ... php?t=8975

Mike is coming up for it too  there may be a voluntary gold coin mike beer tax since we don't see him that often now he is based in hillbilly country.

Feel free to ask questions or wind people up in this thread only as this is going to be a huge trip and a huge social event ie boozy nights. I will be posting updated info in here on a regular basis.

MEETING POINTS ETC WILL BE POSTED SOON

Just a reminder I am expecting hooks on these trips and I will be checking, if you need them PM Stinky (Marty) or call him on 384 4141 as he has them on the shelf at work at a good price (as well as strops and things).

I know its a long shot, but what are the chances of coming in through the gate at the mangatuks on sunday :?: :?:

is there anyone that wants to go just for sunday and will be coming down from anywhere above pram, and want to get in the back door :?: :?:

I'm only being selfish and thinking of me and how to get orange in without having to piss around with a trailer etc etc etc

no its not a pain in the ass

I have already organised it this morning, so if anyone wants to come in through the Maungakotukutuku Road gate on the sunday morning, then watch this space or send me a PM.

I haven't decided what time I will be there, but I will let everyone know later in the week.

I will be making a day trip of this, so if there is anyone who wants to come back out that way also, they can follow me.

It will only be the second time I have travelled this route and will be the first time on my own, so hopefully I get a good map (Sig)

Jerry, what channel PRS will you be on :?: :?:

Jerry
If the work program keeps going the way it has recently, I may have time to come up and see your hillbilly country on the trip this WE and test my simexs out in your NI mud. If so I will try and be on the same ferrys as Mike.
Will let you know later this week.

Anyone else keen to raid the north?

the crusier is also undergoing rallywood preps... i have cleaned and flushed the raditator ( full of mud between rad and aircon grill- cheers to haynzy for that tip) and have put new gaskets and thermostat ( cheers DBWracing). i also toped up fluids and will do a oil and filter change. interestingly after all this my clutch is still poked and the starter just fried, so will get them attended to B4 weekend ... also hope to have a new big bore installed too.... so should be there all good and happy!!!!man its going to be a busy and expensive week!
