waimac sat 19th

Hey, going to go out tomorow arvo and check out the 4wd park at the waimac that a few members went to last weekend - rained today so hopefully wont be so dusty and may be a little mud :D ..... but wont get hopes up.
Meet at belfast pub at 12.30pm if anyones keen post up or ill see you there.

I need a 54 mm socket to nip them up. well i should get started on fitting diff first.

54mm socket! thats rather large, bigest i have is a 42

Just do what the rest of us out there do who don't own a 54mm socket........thats 99.9% of us :lol:
use a drift and a hammer....preferably a brass drift, but after a few removals you won't care what sort of drift it is as long as it loosens the burred nut :wink:
may come out for a play myself :mrgreen:

It won't effect reliability, hell there is 2 lock nuts b4 you get to the bearing, I and many others have been dong it that way for many years....... :mrgreen: i've had shit loads of parts let me down over the years I wish it had been something as simple as a lock nut making the truck unreliable :lol:

Fawk yeah! What he said^^^^.

Tapping your bearing nuts up with a drift/screwdriver and hammer may not seem real professional, but it works fine. If you are really precious about that sort of thing, best you pay a professional to do the job.

sorry boys i had a few problems getting the diff head in , only took 3 hours just for the head.
only have to fill the diff and put on the left tyre, then road test . :x

was a gread day thanks guys, truckfixer and lil miss zuki took us through some interesting tracks on the south side later in the day, cant wait till they are filled with mud and go through again. looking forward to seeing he photos when they can be posted.
