Got a Daihatsu Something, hasn't got a Daihatsu engine.... or diffs.... and it doesn't have windows.... or doors.... but its got tyres.... :)

Not compromised, just a bot registered itself while we are in the transition phase with no image verification on the self registration page. It will be sorted soon.

Thanks for the heads up. I've deleted the user account and posts. If you see any more just post a link like you've just done.

two bots are they doing any damage? All it means, as far as i can tell, is that our forum topic s are being published worldwide.
is this a good or bad thing?

Yep, that's what the Internet is all about. Those bots "Google [Bot]" and "Yahoo [Bot]" are the search engine indexers that collect all the website data that makes the search engines work. They basically just trawl over any websites that they can find reading the pages and following every link the come across, indexing it so that when we do a search on Google or Yahoo we get up to date info. They are the good guys.

The 'bots' we were talking about above are automated scripts that look for sites like this running phpBB forums and when they find one they register an account automatically for the sole purpose of posting spam.
