Damn, I wouldve loved to have gone on that but Ill be using up all my leave for my trip down that way (4 weeks) during feb.

You'll just have to do the tracks during the holiday instead then
I'll have to see how well I have the new hippo set up closer to the time before I know whats happening

Just spoke to the lady at the hoilday park and she had heard a wisper that there will be quite a few 4wds heading there for easter so it will pay to book ahead as I have , now I just have to fix the truck and finish the mods and with only 8 days off between now and then

Hi to all following this thread, I have a ensuite cabin at Westport Holiday Park booked for the 20th/24th of march Easter weekend, due to a change in circumstances I will be no longer going on the Coast trip. Unfortunately it looks as if I may not be attending the easter trip my vehicle and I suffered quite a bad fall onto it side today, big time into a rock, has done quite extensive damage, I do hope the coast weekend still goes ahead, i'm sure there's enough experience with Nuts, and Kev.
Luckily i wasn't hurt except a few cuts and scratches, it could of been a lot worse
I'm feeling a bit low about it, but thats 4-wheeling' sometimes it hurts, will look at my optins of repair, body replacement, etc, either way I'll be back hard at the trail as soon as I can, but 3 and a half weeks may be pushing it

Your lucky with your modle surf, its only a little roof over the two front seats and surf bodies are every where, do what Turoa said, find a cheap wreck cut the roof off and glue it back onto yours, its easy peasy!!!!!!!

Been chatting to my wife, and still thinking of coming either with or without my toy, Dads going to be there with his double cab so should be plenty of seats for my family, as far as stiching the (now wreckage) back together just to have it mobile for easter......have been talking about putting a 4-door on it for ages, so might look at that option as well, will be much easier on the family trips as we now have 3 children the 2-door is abismal to say the least

Yet another change to the plans, I didn't cancel my cabin booking and all being well I will be there. At this stage I will be traveling over Thursday, and returning home after the trip on Sunday. She who has to be obeyed has plans for the remainder of our time off.
