Nissan Parts It Pays To Shop Around

Post by monstr »

After finding a pool of oil on one of the front wheels it was time to replace axle seals ,Thought i might replace with genuine so rang local Nissan dealer Bloody near fell of the chair when he quoted me $54 plus gst Each So rang a firm i had used before, Bearing Supplies NZ Ltd and without even asking got a 40% discount price was $5.04 cent each plus gst and its exactly the same seal,..Steve

What do you consider cheap ??

I did not think that $120 for the heater fan resistor pack was cheap
There is no mechanical problem so difficult that it cannot be solved by brute strength and ignorance.

Im paid to say that lol, try $4500 for a new 1996 hilux steering wheel

But it still pays to ask anyway often we get custys who try 2-3 non genuine and end up having to get genuine so you do the math..

Steve, Do you remember the size of the axle seals for the front of your nissan. I have noticed mine are leaking and I cant find where I wrote down the seal size last time I changed them. I like to have the seals before I start the job so I only have to get grubby once. From memory they are 44x33x8 or something similar. Cheers, Jase.
