Dunno what my plans are that far ahead but I think it would be just plain rude not to go

What are you thinking of with the water supply Jerry, the water line is a communal line that feeds Green Hut and the 3-4 residences further down the hill. We would have to install a large storage tank for Green Hut to inprove the current trickle feed pressure and even then its going to be a bit limited on gravity feed through all that 15mm pipe?

Ok I'm not really a water engineer or whatever they are called but maybe get you (abbo) and bundy together to figure out what needs to happen (and he can clear it with the shareolders etc) and what is needed and what we need to hunt around for and then put up a plan of action....

can you pm me your number abbo?, maybe go up and see bundy if you are able to....

how hard would it be to get drinking water up there? maybe something to think about?

Bundy was talking about running a new larger main from the tanks, this will provide better flow ( and may provide better pressure less frictional loss maybe ).
There was some other changes but I can't remember what they were.
Abbo, the system is a simple gravity fed system, a dam feeding a 2000ltr storage tank which feeds down to the hut etc.
There is only part time power from a generator that is normally only run in the evening for lighting etc.
I think that to provide "drinking quality" water would require treatment of some sort.
Is there a treatment process that would work without power ??
Even if it was set up so that it was only feeding one tap so there was not so much water to treat.
There is no mechanical problem so difficult that it cannot be solved by brute strength and ignorance.

I think its just the usual drinking beer, swearing, telling lies around the fire, talking about girls, trucks, V8's, chainsaws and all that sort of stuff 8)

But other than that my guess is we should keep exploring and re-opening other tracks that we havent found or used before?

disclaimer: nobody mention Widow Maker in this thread coz theres already another active thread for it
