have just spent the last 15 mins clicking on links and trying to get to the website, with no luck.

the guy runs it out of Hamilton and it is a side business to his main job.

I have been on his site a few times dreaming of one day

I have found that sometimes you cannot access the site and sometimes you get straight in.
when you do get in, the pics only half load and so on and so on.

all I can say is to keep trying until you get there

he sells 3 different types of race seat for I think $150 each or maybe its $75 each, I'm not sure, but keep trying dude.

I 'm pretty sure that the first link is the correct one as that is the one on the front of the current national champs bonnet.............

good luck dude

hes been trying to sell the business for a number of years now, but the good thing for us is that he still produces stuff when we need it. 8) 8) 8)

Ok , while we are chasing seats .
I was at the trials in Piopio and there was a truck there with some seats that were made a soft rubber , much like you find on some ride on lawn mower seats or boat seats . Easy to hose off etc , they had gaps running across the seat back . Anyway forgot what truck it was and never got back to ask were they got them from . Anyone know what I am talking about or were they got them from ?

Cheers

they are the ones that moonhoper was talking about.

they cost about a hundie for the seat and close to another hundie for the cover. they also do them in one with wings on your shoulders like rally cars etc

you can get them from a few performance places I think, like cardwells..........

Hi

Not the same shape as I saw but looks like the material :D . $84 that seems like a good price .
Found this site , seems to be the manifacture .

http://www.jazproducts.com/poly_bucket_seats.html

Any idea what model you got moonhoper ? I am a small ass so looking at trying to find the mini pro stock . I have e-mailed Cardwells in North Auck ( cheers Skid ) , will see what they say . If they can't get it I will try Pro parts , they do not list them on there web site :( , so not sure what seats they can get . They are not much smaller than the pro stock at the end of the day thou .

Cheers

Those are the seats we have in our rally truck, for a plastic seat they are real comfortable.

Think they are the pro stock ones. My big arse fits in them so you may move aroud a bit.

Just as an aside (little thread jacking).

How important are the side "wings" for trialling. are they any good or is the wingless version better?

its each to thier own

I personally would prefer the winged version, so you don't get chucked around too much when rolling.

On another note, I have sat in 2 trucks with those plastic seats you are looking at and I hated them.
The lumbar thing pushed into my back too much and for weeks afterwards I had niggling back pain which I attributed to the seats.

Thats just my thoughts/experiences.

If you are able to, the best thing to do is sit in as many trucks as you can, preferably whilst 4wding, so you can see what you like best, although that may be a hard thing to accomplish.

if I was to sell my truck(yeah right)  and begin to build a new one then I would personally be looking at rally type race seats....................

also, while we're trying to spend your money. buy 5 point harnesses. they are 100 times better than a 4 point harness, if you need to know why then send me a PM and I'll explain.

my thoughts
