Go 8000-12000, theres no point putting a little under powered winch on there even if your zuk is pretty light
dont forget you may be pulling my 12 ton POS Cruiser out of the mud or up the bank with it one day

How big a winch.....
I could strap all the welly trucks together and put all the hand brakes on and ill still drag them all up to where ever i am

get the biggest winch you can fit on it (realisticly),as you never know when(as sadam said)you will need to anchor yourself to a big tree and pull a heavy truck to you

If you already know everything, DON'T ask bloody questions!!
Re: winch=how big??
on my escudo toy i have a 9500pd bull winch on it i think its better to be to big and not need all of it than be to small and need moor
Re: winch=how big??
M6000 Warn worked really well on my ol 413. Bigger winches usually have the same motor but more reduction & are therefore slower, carry a snatch block or 2 for the big jobs & enjoy the fast line speed all the rest of the time.

i AGREE, i ran an 8274 in my 413, mounted it in the back against the tail gate and feed the cable underneath dont try that with syntheic rope
