Limited Slip Diff

Post by Dutch89 »

I was wondering if many here have bought after market LSD's like a Lock Right or some thing, i know LSD's are good to have but how have people found them to fit and are they reliable! Are they ok to fit into old diffs and dont get buggered because they are fitted in with old gear.
My main concern is getting the job done correctly, ive done plenty of engin rebuilds but never worked on a Gear Box or Diff

Cheers Hans :?

hi, ive got a LSD in my 94 v6 escudo, it works good and helps get heaps of places (even though its a road car for me) the only thing is it makes alot of noise when reversing while turning full lock when its warm and also it decreases your turning circle, but overall i think its good, but i didnt fit it, i bought it like that so i can tel you about that :D

a lock right isn't an LSD - its an automatic locker. If you are putting something like a lock right in it will be fine as long as the diff is in fair condition, although it will put more stress on things and increase the chance of breakages etc....
Auto lockers require a little modification to your on road driving style, like less acceleration going round round abouts....
